Chad and Amanda's Wedding

On Saturday, Amanda and Chad had a small wedding ceremony in Bowring Park. It was supposed to be a nice day but it turned out to be rainy and overcast. In spite of the rain, it was beautiful. Here are some of the photos from the day. If you are on facebook there are lots more photos.

Me and Ben were in charge of making the flower arrangements.

Chad's mom, Deanna. Isaac loved his green umbrella.

Chad and Harry waiting for Amanda to show up.

Where are they!? We had a little trouble at the beginning figuring out where exactly in the park Chad was waiting.

Fixing her dress as they get ready for the vows.

After the wedding we went back to Amanda and Chad's house for the reception. There was soooo much food, and all in all it was a really nice time. The perfect little wedding.CRAZY Aunt Yvonne and Uncle Ross made it out. She was the funniest person at the wedding especially when it came to taking pictures. And poor Harry had to do the barbequing in the rain!

Back in Canada! (PEI & Nova Scotia)

Nearing the end of my trip, before heading back to Newfoundland, I took a drive to PEI to visit with Autumn and Corey. Autumn was my roommate in university for 2 years and a very dear friend to me. It was great to see how well her and her husband are doing. :)

Then I headed for Scotsburn, Nova Scotia to visit family and hang out at the farm. Good times...a place that always feels like home.

Jordan's getting really good at playing guitar. He's a big Eagles fan now since going to the concert in Moncton.

This is the farmhouse where mom and her family grew up. Soon Uncle Jimmy, Christine, and Jordan will be living there. For now they live in the brown house above.

Dropped in to see Uncle Hunter and Marjorie...was really nice to see them again.

Then we went to the beach. It was a cold day but I had to go.

By far, my favourite place to be.

It's always great to get in to visit with family. I had a really fun time hanging out and bugging Jordan. Christine was great--she cooked a roast beef meal that was just so good..one of those ones that you need to take a nap after you eat.

Father and son--Uncle Jimmy and Jordan. :) So good to see family--I will miss them when I am back in China.

The view from 'Moffat Mountain'.

Back in Canada! (New Brunswick)

After a very long drive and a 17 hour ferry to leave Newfoundland I made it to New Brunswick! I only had a short time there but managed to visit with LOTS of people! I went to Sussex, Moncton, Fredericton and Miramichi before saying goodbye to the province I had lived in for 8 years. It was great to see old friends and catch up with everyone. These are photos of those moments.

I went swimming at a waterfall in Sussex with Aimee, Nick and Derrick. The next photo is of Monie and her mom. I stayed at Monie's house while I was in Moncton. She was so good to put up with me coming in and out all of the time! :)

I went to the seniors home that I had worked at for about 4 years. It was great to see everyone..just wish I had more time to spend with everyone.

Then I caught up with friend's from my old football team. They finished their season (2nd) before I got back...would have been nice to see them play this year.

In an attempt to see as many people as possible in a short time, Aimee and Nick held a BBQ and softball game for me and some friends out in Sussex. It was a fun time and I am glad that so many were able to make it out there.

We all had a really good time--the cow pictures are from that night when we were heading back to Moncton. Sussex's claim to fame are their cows-apparently. The next photos are from my visit to Aunt Flora's in Miramichi. Her and Greg just bought a house in North Nappan that has 30 acres of land. There are apple trees, and lots of blueberries to pick. The place is beautiful and the property is perfect---country living! I really enjoyed visiting with them--Christena and the twins (Hunter and Andrew) are adorable!

Christena, Andrew and Hunter...so sweet!

Our sour faces...apples aren't ready yet!

Picking and eating blueberries...mmmmmm

I was having troubles with my car rolling on hills (emergency brake wasn't working) so Greg made me a "Miramichi Redneck Emergency Brake" so my car wouldn't roll around so much. Ha! Ha! It worked too--I used it on the ferry back to Newfoundland and the car never moved!

My time in New Brunswick was coming to an end. Stopped in to Fredericton and visited with Lora, hung out with Melissa, and had a little get-together with Monie, Terry, and Anita. Said good-bye to the girls at youth (they arrange a little hello/goodbye time for me) and had coffee with Chet. It was sooooo busy! But I am thankful that I got to see as many people as I did.

And of course, always great to hang out with Nick and Aimee.

Had breakfast with Amanda...good to catch up with her.

Did the ol' BP's with Katie...just like old times...somethings never change.
